We’re Everyday Louisianans.
Families for Fair Taxes is a grassroots organization of people who came together around one common threat: corporate welfare in Louisiana.
We’re pastors, teachers, law enforcement officers, moms and dads. We’re hard-working, everyday people from every walk of life who are fed up with Louisiana being last in just about everything good — and first in just about everything bad.
We believe that if we all come together, we can take on the power brokers and lobbyists in Baton Rouge.
We have no agenda except ending their unfair, special tax deals for corporations that are raising taxes for everyday people and killing jobs.
We want high-performing schools, safe neighborhoods, a strong economy, and public services that other places take for granted - like drivable streets and maintained playgrounds.
One of the reasons we don’t have these things is that corporate welfare - special tax deals handed out behind closed doors – are robbing our local parishes of the money we need for a brighter future.
why louisiana stays poor
With all Louisiana's wealth in natural resources and industry, WHY DO WE STAY SO POOR?
